Get ready for some big-time Broadway entertainment, Kansas City!

The biggest hits on the Great White Way are headed to Kansas City as part of the just-announced Kansas City Broadway Series 2017-2018 season!

Broadway blockbusters The Color Purple, Waitress and Finding Neverland will be part of the upcoming season. The lineup will also include The Lion King and A Chorus Line. In addition, subscribers can choose to add highly-anticipated engagements of two favorites: Les Miserables and Let It Be.

WAITRESS

Inspired by Adrienne Shelly's beloved film, Waitress tells the story of Jenna, a waitress and expert pie maker, who dreams of a way out of her small town and loveless marriage. A baking contest in a nearby county and the town's new doctor offers her a chance at a fresh start, while her fellow waitresses offer their own recipes for happiness. Brought to life by a groundbreaking all-female creative team, the irresistible new hit features original music and lyrics by six-time Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles, a book by acclaimed screenwriter Jessie Nelson and direction by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus.

Relive The Beatles’ meteoric rise from their humble beginnings in Liverpool’s Cavern Club, through the heights of Beatlemania, to their later studio masterpieces, with live performances of early tracks including “Twist and Shout,” “She Loves You” and “Drive My Car,” as well as global mega-hits “Yesterday,” “Hey Jude,” “Come Together” and, of course, “Let It Be.” Travel back to the magical 60’s and 70’s when all you needed was love, and a little help from your friends!
